The BEWITAL Group in Südlohn-Oeding kicked off the new training year with ten new trainees. The young professionals are beginning their apprenticeships at BEWITAL agri, BEWITAL petfood, and westrans, spanning a total of six different apprenticeship programs—ranging from business and creative fields to technical and logistics roles. In doing so, the group once again highlights the wide range of apprenticeship opportunities and career prospects available to young people in the region.
The first day of training was all about getting to know one another. After breakfast together at Bernie’s, the new trainees were welcomed by management as well as the division and department heads. Pico Petershagen, a member of the third generation of the owner family, then introduced the BEWITAL Group and gave the new trainees an initial glimpse into the family-run group of companies. During a tour of the facility, the new trainees got to know the various divisions of the company and gained fascinating insights into production, logistics, and the diverse processes at the site. The day concluded with a group lunch with the trainers before the trainees headed to their respective departments and new workstations.
“We are very pleased to welcome so many motivated young professionals to BEWITAL again this year. For us, training is much more than just imparting technical knowledge. We want to support young people on their path to becoming qualified professionals, provide them with individualized support, and open up long-term career opportunities for them within our corporate group,” says Corinna Schraven from the Human Resources department.
