From His First Job to a Permanent Member of the Team: Mohamed Taki Makes the Most of His Opportunities at BEWITAL
Mohamed Taki didn’t first come into contact with BEWITAL as a job applicant, but as a translator. He was actually there during a job interview just to provide support. But the meeting turned into something more: Mohamed struck up a conversation with the company—and ultimately came away with a career opportunity of his own.
Today, several years later, the 27-year-old is an integral part of BEWITAL’s production team. He started out as a production worker and then became a machine and equipment operator with a focus on technology. BEWITAL was Mohamed’s first job—a place where he has not only found his footing but has also been able to grow professionally. “I feel good at work here,” he says. “My coworkers are friendly; we work together and support one another.”
What appeals to him most about his job is the combination of technology, responsibility, and variety. Mohamed operates machinery at Plant 6, a pet food facility at BEWITAL. In doing so, he goes beyond the scope of typical day-to-day production duties. For example, he is currently involved in matters related to the expansion of Plant 6 and is collaborating on a project to reduce waste—with the goal of further improving manufacturing processes and using resources more efficiently.
For him, this is a good example of what’s possible within the company if you show interest and are willing to take on responsibility. He credits the support he received for being able to follow this path. His supervisor guided and encouraged him from the very beginning. At the same time, Mohamed knows that growth doesn’t happen on its own. You have to recognize opportunities—and seize them.
“You should be hardworking, reliable, and interested in what you do,” he says. Teamwork and friendliness are also important. After all, production only works when people work together: when people take responsibility, look out for one another, and work hand in hand.
