The health of its employees is a high priority for the BEWITAL Group. The company is constantly exploring the latest options in occupational health management for its more than 600 employees. One example of this is the use of a so-called back mobile, which has been on the move at various locations on our BEWITAL premises since the end of November. Its mission: to raise awareness of back health—right in the workplace.
Together with VIACTIV health insurance and the Westmünsterland Health Center, BEWITAL actively brought the topic to the company headquarters. Right on site in the VIACTIV health truck, employees were able to have their spine analyzed using modern measuring techniques and then complete a trial training session on Milon equipment with individual instruction in the truck.
The aim of the measure is to provide employees with individual advice on back health, posture, and exercise. Personal assessments help them to better understand their own physical condition and take preventive action.
“Back health is a key issue in everyday working life—especially in physically demanding or sedentary jobs. It is important to us not only to provide information, but also to create concrete offerings that have a lasting effect,” says Yvonne Brüninghoff, Head of Human Resources at BEWITAL.
The back analyses are now complete – but the topic continues: Until the end of February Our employees have the opportunity to continue their training program in the VIACTIV health truck under the professional supervision of therapists from the Westmünsterland Health Center. The approach is deliberately designed for the long term: building on the launch with the VIACTIV health truck, employees are given the opportunity to continue the momentum in their everyday lives at the Westmünsterland Health Center locations. The group of companies actively contributes to the costs for each employee who participates regularly.
